Our client is seeking to recruit a Milk Procurement Manager to oversee and strengthen milk sourcing operations. Job Purpose: The role is responsible for implementing sustainable extension delivery systems to ensure adequate farmer support, increased production, and improved productivity at farm level. The successful candidate will also be responsible for timely sourcing of quality milk at competitive prices to support business objectives. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Planning and Budgeting Develop and coordinate implementation of JESA extension and milk procurement strategy in line with overall business plan. Develop raw milk procurement plans in response to the production and market requirements Review and validating of feasibility studies Review and approve budgets for consumable at MCCs Logistics planning and coordination. Formulate and review extension strategies and policies. Stakeholder engagement. Source and develop raw milk procurement plans in response to the production and market requirements Train farmers in productivity enhancement technologies or any other trainings as need arise Supplier management through supplier audits to support informed decision making. Coordination of extension activities Coordinate assets allocation based on feasibility study (Farm number, cow numbers in respective regions) Coordinate with the service provider regarding cooler installations, generator servicing and cooler maintenance. Fundraising resources to support extension. Participate in national and district policy formulation forum. People management. Mentoring and coaching of staff Conduct staff performance appraisals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Facilitate monthly performance review meetings. Conduct field support supervision visits to ensure proper accountability of company resources and time. Employee performance management. Employee leave scheduling and management. Lower Cost Analyze the price survey results and provide applicable recommendations Comprehensive price survey. Market intelligence.
