Credit officer

This is a full-time position with travel for client meetings and events; your direct report is the Senior Operations Officer. Job Summary: The Loan Officer evaluates and recommends the approval of loan applications for individuals and businesses. This role involves assessing applicants' financial eligibility, managing loan portfolios, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Education : Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Economics, or a related field Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a loans or financial services role Skills : Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of loan regulations and procedures. Solid understanding of direct/indirect lending products and practices. Resilient with strong negotiation & communication skills. Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies. Ability to work in a high-pressure, goal-oriented environment. Good knowledge of Kampala and the surrounding districts.
