This is a full-time office-based position, with frequent travel for meetings, deliveries, and other errands; your direct report is the Operations Officer. Job Summary: The Recovery Officer is responsible for managing and recovering overdue loan accounts in accordance with company policies and applicable Ugandan laws. The role focuses on the timely collection of outstanding loan balances, negotiation of repayment arrangements, monitoring delinquent accounts, and coordinating repossession of collateral (motor vehicles) where necessary. This will help in minimising credit losses while maintaining professional and ethical engagement with clients. Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Economics, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years in loan recovery/collections, preferably in a microlending institution that specialises in logbook loans Skills : Strong understanding of credit risk, collections, and collateral-based lending, Good knowledge of Kampala and the surrounding districts. High level of integrity, resilience, and negotiation skills. Experience in microfinance or logbook loans is an added advantage. Strong negotiation & communication skills.
