Job Purpose: To manage the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of quality goods, services, and inputs required for farm operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement regulations. Key Responsibilities: Source and evaluate suppliers for farm inputs (e.g., seeds, fertilizers, feed), equipment, and services. Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (LPOs). Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve best value. Ensure timely delivery of all purchased items to the requesting departments. Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and foster strong vendor relationships. Monitor inventory levels of key supplies and coordinate with warehouse staff. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and ethical standards. Assist in the disposal of obsolete or surplus assets as per guidelines. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Supplies Chain Management, Procurement, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is an added advantage. Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in agriculture. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
