Department : Operations Reports to: Operations Manager / Finance Manager Employment Type : Full-time Location : Nakifuma-Kawuku Position Overview The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing, receiving, dispatching, and tracking goods and stock levels to ensure optimal inventory availability while minimizing carrying costs. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, maintains quality standards, and supports seamless supply chain operations through effective stock control and coordination with internal departments and external suppliers. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management & Control Monitor and maintain current inventory levels; process productions and track replenishment stock as needed Conduct regular physical stock counts, cycle counts, and reconcile physical counts with computerized records Develop and implement inventory control procedures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations Track inbound products and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of- stock (OOS) scenarios Receiving & Storage Receive, inspect, and verify production for both crushing and granite units of production for accuracy, quality, and completeness. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory items to maximize space utilization Record Keeping & Reporting Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records using inventory management software or something appropriate for the company. Generate regular reports on inventory turnover, stock levels, discrepancies, and key performance metrics Prepare documentation for inventory adjustments, damages, and stock movements Coordination & Communication Liaise with purchasing, warehouse, sales, and finance departments to forecast demand and coordinate stock requirements Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding delivery schedules, quality issues, and returns Support internal departments with inventory inquiries and stock availability status Compliance & Safety Adhere to company safety standards and protocols in handling inventory and operating equipment Ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage areas Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred Experience 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics preferred Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Fishbowl) is highly desirable Technical Skills Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting Understanding of inventory control methods such as ABC analysis and cycle counting Soft Skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Strong organizational and time management abilities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines How to Apply: All applications will be received and reviewed through the BrighterMonday Portal by clicking on the 'Apply Here' section
