Job Purpose: To oversee the entire accounting function of Masaka Farms, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, managing cash flow, and implementing robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop and monitor cash flow management strategies. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Manage the external audit process and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements. Oversee tax planning and compliance (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.). Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team. Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. An MBA is an added advantage. Fully qualified professional accountant (CPA-K, ACCA, or equivalent). Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role. In-depth knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local tax legislation. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
