Department: Operations & Finance Reporting to: Company Directors/Owners Location: Mpigi Overall Purpose To safeguard the company’s liquidity, lead operational staff to achieve daily sales targets, and maintain overall branch profitability through strict financial oversight and effective team management. Key Responsibilities Financial Integrity & Reconciliation Count and verify all cash and mobile money payments against daily sales records. Manage daily banking processes, ensuring secure and timely deposits. Oversee the expense ledger for fuel, repairs, and miscellaneous operational costs. Authorize credit notes and monitor outstanding accounts. Operational Leadership Create and manage weekly shift schedules to ensure optimal staffing coverage. Conduct daily & banking (cash-up) sessions with drivers and cash handlers. Enforce safety protocols and ensure drivers and loaders adhere to traffic and loading regulations. Prepare the weekly & Pulse Report for ownership, detailing total sales versus total expenses. Sales Coordination Liaise with the Sales Route Representative to align warehouse inventory with upcoming large orders. Resolve staff grievances and escalate unresolved issues to Directors. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy: 100% daily cash-to-bank reconciliation. Profitability: Consistent achievement of branch gross margin targets. Retention: Zero unplanned staff turnover due to managerial issues.
